Fast Track

Fast Track is our accelerated learning programme for future Branch Managers. We have an 18-month tailored Learning Programme that includes time spent covering all of the operational aspects of our business, together with work experience with customers, visits to our suppliers and time spent in the various Head Office functional departments.

Towards the end of the Learning Programme, Trainees will be allocated a profile of customers that they will look after as a Sales Representative. They will also act as Relief Branch Manager at locations within their Region.

Alongside this on the job training, Trainees will also carry out research projects on specific areas and propose recommendations and solutions into our business practices. Trainees will also gain product knowledge through study, supplier visits and spending time with Product Specialists. Each Trainee has a dedicated Mentor throughout the Programme to guide and assist their development. We have found that this relationship continues very successfully after the Trainee graduates.

Upon successful completion of the learning programme, Trainees can expect to be offered a role as a Branch Manager. In the longer-term, career options range from managing larger branches to becoming a functional specialist, and also the possibility of developing international career experiences.

• can learn quickly
• have energy and self motivation
• can show decisiveness and judgement and demonstrate leadership qualities
• have a good academic record and/or previous experience in a business-to-business role
